Technology corridors
Canada–USA
Canada–US matters require attention to the activity, the information involved and the laws that apply in each market. Ruchi Bindra supports technology, privacy and governance work from Calgary and Dubai. She is admitted in Alberta; advice on other jurisdictions is coordinated with locally licensed counsel where required.
A Canadian operation does not remove the need to assess US-facing products and information practices. Scope depends on the relevant law, activity, data and market.
My CIPP/US credential informs cross-border privacy and AI-governance work. It does not confer admission to a US bar. I provide readiness and coordination support, with locally licensed counsel where required for US law advice or representation.
The practical starting points are the actual data flow, product use cases, contractual responsibilities and claims made to customers. A shared language should not conceal different legal requirements.
Ruchi Bindra is a member of the Alberta Bar (Barrister & Solicitor) and first qualified as an Advocate in India. Advice on the laws of other jurisdictions, including the UAE and the United States, is provided in coordination with locally licensed counsel where required.
